Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, SSCP are beneficial.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alerts from various tools.
• Investigate security incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls.
• Support vulnerability scanning and patch management efforts.
• Work with IT and DevOps teams for secure system configurations.
• Analyse threat intelligence feeds relevant to the financial sector.
• Assist with compliance efforts and internal audits.
• Contribute to security awareness training.

Skills

Solid understanding of information security principles and threat landscapes

Demonstrated experience with security monitoring and analysis tools

Familiarity with network protocols, firewall configurations

Experience in incident detection, analysis, and response

Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)

Excellent problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education
