A holiday rental company is seeking a Maintenance Operative based in Saxmundham, offering a mix of office, home, and travel work. Responsibilities include performing various maintenance and gardening tasks, engaging with homeowners, and ensuring upkeep. Successful candidates will have prior maintenance experience and a full UK driving licence. This role includes opportunities for overtime and unique employee benefits, fostering a supportive work environment.
Maintenance Operative
Employment type: Permanent
Hours of work: 5 days per week on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday. Core hours 9:00am – 5:00pm, with participation in an on-call rota between 5:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: Saxmundham (base office), with home working and travel to properties in the surrounding area
Travel Chapter is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our team, based from our Saxmundham office. This role offers a great mix of independence, variety and pace. Saxmundham will be your base for equipment, vans and team connection, while your day-to-day work will be split between working from home and visiting our managed properties across the local area.
No two days look the same in this role. One day you may be fixing a maintenance issue, the next carrying out preventative checks, supporting homeowners, or keeping outdoor spaces looking their best. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving on the go and a role where you can see the impact of your work every day, this could be the perfect fit.
You will need to be a confident driver. A branded company van will be provided for business use only.
This is a fast-moving role with plenty of variety, where organisation, adaptability and a calm approach under pressure are essential.
Overtime and an additional £25 retainer apply for out-of-hours on-call work, whether or not you are called out.
