A local care provider in Exeter seeks kind and compassionate individuals to support young people through care and personal growth. This role involves providing exceptional care while encouraging independence and social opportunities. Ideal candidates must have previous care or transferable experience, along with a strong commitment to helping others. Working hours are averaged at 37 hours per week on a rolling rota, including some weekends.
We are looking for kind, friendly, and compassionate individuals who are eager to use their previous care experience and/or transferable skills and experience to make a positive difference in the lives of our young people. You will bring valuable skills from previous roles where you have supported others, whether in care, education, or personally. With a strong “can-do” attitude, you will be committed to helping young people achieve their potential through learning and personal growth.
Our residents have bespoke care packages with enrichment programmes that support independence, develop on daily living skills and support in accessing leisure, social and vocational opportunities in the community. So, retail therapy, a bite to eat down the pub, or a leisurely walk along the beach will definitely be on the list of things to do. We provide exceptional care whilst encouraging our young people to follow their dreams!
At St David’s House we find that the rigid daily structures and strict routine of other care homes don’t really work here, so our staff get to spend quality time with the young people they support.
