Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to fulfil the role as a full-time Academy physiotherapist on a fixed term basis until July 2026 initially, with a view to extend. The successful candidate will operate across the schoolboy programme and supporting the PDP and the head of performance and medicine. Whilst the focus is on pitch side cover, injury prevention and rehabilitation, there is also a responsibility to support the transition of players across the academy and be part of a collaborative MDT.

As a HCPC registered physiotherapist, the post holder will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and be a member of the academy management team (AMT). They will be able to demonstrate team working as well as acting on their own initiative. They will be skilled in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and be able to use objective markers to guide the return to play process.

About The Candidate

We are looking for a candidate ideally with previous experience in academy football however this would not exclude candidates should they have strong clinical skills and a passion to work within the footballing environment. We are seeking a highly motivated clinician who is able to communicate effectively, maintain a high standard of clinical record keeping and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation. The ITMMIF qualification is a necessity. The candidate will also need to be a HCPC registered physiotherapist. The candidate must also have a valid Safeguarding certificate.
