Job summary

A seafood processing company is looking for a dedicated individual to manage stock movements within their store. Responsibilities include accurately logging material movements, conducting stock checks, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. This role requires working 48 hours per week on a night shift schedule, including cold storage conditions.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately logging the movements of all the raw material, packaging, ingredients and products within the store using the stock control system.
• Carrying out regular stock checks, providing accurate reports and highlighting any stock errors.
• Participating in keeping all work areas clean, safe and tidy.
• Reporting to the Stores and Logistics Manager, Stores Supervisor or Stores Chargehand any issues which are likely to affect the smooth running of the store and identifying any training requirements which may be beneficial to the role or the department.
• Use the RDT's to scan stock in and out of the stores. This must be done with all movements and users need to ensure the information such as location, lot number, quantity is accurate.
• The post holder will be required to work within our cold stores with temperatures of -20 degrees.

• Experience of using a computerised purchasing and stock control systems is preferred but not essential.

Hours of Work

Your normal contractual hours of work will be 48 hours per week. If you are contracted to 48 hours per week you will work 4 consecutive shifts of 12 hours per day, followed by 4 consecutive days off. Your normal working hours will be 7pm to 7am.
