An esteemed football club in Cambridge is seeking a part-time matchday coach to join their Youth Development Programme. The role requires supervising and engaging children during home fixtures, ensuring a memorable experience as they interact with mascots and players. Candidates should be enthusiastic, possess coaching qualifications, and be willing to work on matchdays. This position is perfect for those passionate about youth engagement in sports, offering a rewarding environment within a community-focused team.
This role is a part-time position to coach within our Youth Development Programme at the Cambridge United FC Men’s Team home matchdays on the Mascot & Matchday packages.
Key Job Outcomes
Matchday coaches will provide a welcoming attitude to families around the stadium on the matchday.
Setting up & organising activities stated below:
To create & provide an unforgettable experience for children aged 5-14 who register to be a part of our Mascot & Matchday Experience Packages for Cambridge United FC Men’s Team home fixtures.
Confidently supervise mascots with their experience around the ground and meeting players. Organising the mascots for their walk out with the players and their return to parents/guardians.
Confident in leading the matchday experience participants with penalties on the pitch and flag bearing before kick off and return participants back to parents.
Fun and approachable with your attitude and body language to encourage children to partake in activities in the South Stand Kid zone.
Support with running the half time entertainment on the pitch.
Pay is competitive dependent on qualifications and experience
Hours
Alongside Cambridge United FC Men’s Team home Matchdays. 3 Hours per matchday. Hours may differ depending on the kick off time of matchdays
