Overview

MIG / TIG Coded Welder / Fabricator
Location: Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Competitive, DOE

We are recruiting for an engineering manufacturer based in Kirkbymoorside, producing fabricated components for demanding applications.

This role requires a highly competent coded welder / fabricator with experience of GTAW, FCAW to high coded standards.

The Role

• Coded welding and fabrication to approved welding procedures
• Welding processes to include TIG and Flux Core MAG, plus general fabrication welding
• Working with materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Duplex / Super Duplex and Inconel
• Reading and working from fabrication drawings and welding documentation
• Carrying out fit-ups, weld sequencing, and dimensional checks
• Maintaining safe working practices and good housekeeping
• Working independently and as part of a production team

Essential

• Proven experience as a coded welder / fabricator
• Strong TIG welding capability
• Experience with Flux Core MAG welding
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication and welding drawings
• Background working to formal welding procedures and quality systems

Desirable

• Previous exposure to ASME IX coded environments or working to high coded standards
• Time-served shop floor or apprentice trained
