Key Details
  • Role: Afterschool Club Assistant
  • Hours: 11.5 hours per week, term time only
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 3.00pm – 5.30pm, Friday: 3.00pm – 4.30pm
  • Salary: Scale 1, SCP 2-3, £12.65 per hour
  • Contract: Term time only
What the role involves

You’ll be part of the small team that looks after children at the end of the school day. Your work will include:

  • Helping to set up and run a mix of play opportunities and activities.
  • Preparing simple, healthy snacks for the children.
  • Supporting behaviour in a fair and positive way.
  • Building good relationships with children and their families.
  • Making sure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

English language requirement

This is a customer‑facing role, so a good standard of spoken English is required.
