CountyVet Group are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon (Small Animal) to complete their team. All clinical interests are welcome. We are managed at a local level by our Clinical Director of 16 years, Practice Manager and supported by 2 amazing Senior Vets.

Who are we?
Based in Newcastle under Lyme, close to the town centre, we have a caseload that allows our teams to develop! The team at Friarswood comes with a varied skill level, where everyone really has the chance to shine. Where required, we make use of visiting specialists to keep the experience in house with an aim to grow and develop talent within our team. This also helps keep our clients bonded and allows us that continuity of care.
We have laparoscopic kit, brand new digital x-ray, dental x-ray with processor and lots of other bits and bobs to make day to day life and work up of your cases easier. You will be working alongside an experienced and supportive nursing team and a number of vets, including 2 Senior Vets, cert holders in medicine & dentistry, and nurses with certifications. We also deliver acupuncture services. So, there is plenty of support in those areas.
Development of our people is important, and we'd be keen to support you with any areas of interest. Anyone looking at or working on a surgical certificate would complement the team very well. We are blessed to be supported by an OOH provider and have no Sunday or Bank Holiday working.

Our Veterinary Surgeon vacancy is currently full-time, but we are happy to discuss part time arrangements or even FTC. Our full time vets prefer working 4 days a week, but we are open to ideas that suit you! An hour for lunch and some admin time is given daily.
Our vets do work Saturday mornings on a rota basis. You may sometimes have to work between our Sandbach and Alsager practices to cover holidays etc.
