Qualifications

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Experience of working in a clinical setting as a Pharmacist is essential.
• Leadership / managerial experience in a Pharmacy setting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passion to deliver excellent care in an emotionally challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and advice on medicines management across the hospital.
• Lead, motivate and manage the pharmacy team effectively.
• As the Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead, optimize antimicrobial management.
• Ensure pharmacy team undertake daily ward rounds and reconcile medication.
• Assist the team in facilitating timely discharge of patients returning to primary care.
• Implement medication safety alerts and drug recalls for the hospital.
• Monitor controlled drugs use and complete quarterly CD audits.
• Manage errors, complaints and incidents following Nuffield Health guidelines.
• Support the development of healthcare professionals through training.
