Overview

The main role is to repair and maintain a variety of Sheet Metal Working machine tools. This includes undertaking hydraulic and mechanical work to identify faults and repair issues in line with best practice and current health & safety requirements. This ensures the works plant and equipment are maintained to the required standard to maximise availability, reliability and efficiency and to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees. You will be required to work in a safe, organised, tidy and efficient manner.

• Repair and maintain a variety of Sheet Metal Working machine tools.
• Undertake hydraulic and mechanical work to identify faults and repair issues in line with best practice and current health & safety requirements.
• Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to maximise availability, reliability and efficiency and to safeguard health, safety and welfare of all employees.
• Work in a safe, organised, tidy and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or NVQ qualification in a relevant maintenance subject.
• Mechanical fitter with experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, sensors and control systems; time served apprentice in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance environment; self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative.
