We have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to Join our Consulting Finance function - This role will be remote working with occasional travel to a local Amey office.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 per week.

The salary is dependent on experience.

The role sits in the Central function within the Consulting division primarily focused on property and other centralised costs and overheads. The role reports directly into the Financial Controller for the Consulting division and has interfaces with stakeholders across the business, the rest of the Consulting finance team and with Group finance.

What you will do:

• Production of monthly management accounts and preparation of periodic budgets and forecasts.
• Input of monthly results into Group consolidation tool.
• Completion of audit packs to assist in interim/annual audit process.
• Production of Balance Sheet reconciliations for a number of legal entities.
• Reporting and explanation of variances to management
• Support operation management with quality information and assists in delivering improved results through good cost control and challenge to current processes.
• Report finance information to non-finance in a way that can be understood, including monthly reports to key stakeholders.
• Update cost trackers accurately to control costs
• Ability to produce ad hoc information/reports with short notice
• Make recommendations to improve current systems and processes.

We want to hear from you if you have:

• Qualified or Newly Qualified
• Experienced in Management Accounts
• Ability to achieve tight deadlines with high degree of quality and understanding
• Strong IT Skills including good knowledge of SAP and Excel
• Good knowledge of accounting practices, statutory regulations and reporting requirements and experience of forecasting.
• Must have excellent communication skills and build strong, positive relationships with all stakeholders
• Be proactive and organised to gain the correct information from stakeholders in a timely manner
• Be able to work along and in a wider team
