Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Night Shift)
Location: Leeds, LS9
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Working Hours/Days: (Night Shift) 39 hours week, 8.30pm working until 6.30am Monday to Wednesday, Thursday is 6pm start and finishing at 4am.

Job Description:
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, utilizing your skills and experience to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. This role involves working through the night to meet the demands of our busy schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate saws according to cutting schedules and customer specifications
• Accurately unload, check, and store incoming stock
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on saws
• Manage saw blade inventory to ensure sharpened blades are always available
• Assist with picking and packing goods for timely, damage-free delivery
• Report stock discrepancies, damages, or picking errors to the Warehouse Manager
• Attend regular staff meetings
• Follow all health and safety procedures in the warehouse
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse and Distribution Manager

Requirements:

• Valid FLT Licence with counterbalance and reach capabilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to meeting targets and deadlines.
• Flexibility to work night shifts.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not essential.
• 20 days holiday a year (which equates to 5 weeks on nights)
  We do not work Bank Holidays and we close down for around 8 days over Christmas each year.
• Overtime Monday to Thursday is paid at time and a quarter, Friday / Saturdays paid at time and a half. Annual Bonus paid in April each year.
