This role focuses on escalator maintenance, repairs, and call‑out response, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.The position requires strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service in a fast‑paced environment.## **Key Responsibilities*** Carry out **preventive maintenance** on escalators in accordance with KONE standards and industry regulations* Perform **diagnostic work, repairs, and component replacements** to ensure safe and reliable operation* Respond to **call‑outs and breakdowns** during night shifts, providing timely and effective solutions* Complete all required **service reports, documentation, and compliance checks*** Work collaboratively with the wider KONE service team to support escalator performance across the region* Identify potential upgrade or modernization opportunities* Participate in the **on‑call rota (1 in every 5 weeks)** — this is a mandatory requirement## **Qualifications & Experience*** **NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering** (essential)* Proven **escalator maintenance and repair experience*** Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals* Full **UK driving licence*** Excellent fault‑finding skills and a safety‑first mindset## **Working Hours & Benefits*** **38‑hour night shift contract*** **30‑minute paid/unpaid lunch break*** **25 days annual leave** plus bank holidays* Participation in the **1-in-5 on‑call rota*** Competitive salary with night‑shift enhancements* Access to KONE training, tools, and ongoing professional development* Company vehicle, fuel card, PPE, and specialist equipment provided## **About You**You’re a dependable, technically skilled engineer who thrives working independently at night.
