Job summary

A leading global tech provider in Scotland is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will implement remote network services for secure customers, focusing on LAN, WAN, and Firewall infrastructures. With a minimum of 10 years in a multi-vendor data center environment, candidates should have strong Cisco and Aruba skills, as well as SC clearance. This position involves both technical leadership and hands-on configurations, underpinned by solid documentation and customer support responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 10 years proven work experience in a multi-vendor Data centre environment.
• Eligible for or currently possess SC clearance (Mandatory).
• Proven experience troubleshooting LAN / WAN / FW systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data network hardware and systems.
• Provide technical support for both internal and external customers.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure.

Skills

Cisco LAN / WAN skills equivalent to CCNP level

Aruba LAN skills equivalent to Aruba ACP level

Experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls

Complex routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, iBGP)

Technical documentation skills

Experience with IPSec tunnels

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
