Job Summary

We need a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The person who gets the job will help people in care homes or who are getting home care services stay healthy, comfortable, and independent. This job lets you make a real impact in people’s lives by giving them tailored attention and help.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with daily activities, such as dressing, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and self‑respect.
• Follow personalised care plans to meet each person’s unique requirements and wants.
• Provide emotional support to clients.
• Administer medication as instructed by doctors and nurses.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report concerns or changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor.
• Assist with light household chores, such as meal preparation and cleanup.
• Drive clients to appointments or social events, ensuring their safe arrival.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s licence and the ability to safely drive clients to appointments or outings.
• Previous experience in a care facility or home care is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
• Good English communication skills, with the ability to listen carefully and speak clearly with clients and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills for record‑keeping and updating care plans.
• Kind‑hearted and a strong desire to help vulnerable people.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to follow thorough care plans.
• Excellent people skills, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and empathy.
