Job summary

A digital media agency based in Alderley Edge is looking for a Press Management Assistant to support press feature management and content maintenance. Job description

Our Communications teams plays a key role in building and protecting The Beauty Tech Group brands through impactful link building and digital affiliate press outreach. Sitting within our wider Communications function, the team leads all digital press activity, ensuring consistent, high-quality coverage across our markets. Working closely with internal teams, the Communications operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, coordinating press activity and maximising coverage to drive brand awareness and growth.

What you’ll be doing

Press Feature Management and Categorisation:

  • Supporting the maintenance of ‘featured’ links/existing evergreens - assisting with AI
  • categorisation, tagging and maintaining coverage records to refer back to / optimise
  • evergreens ahead of peak sales period.
  • Article maintenance - flagging any articles featuring discontinued products, incorrect
  • offers, broken or incorrect links. Flagging issues and supporting where needed with
  • swaps/amends

Contact Management:

  • Maintaining established trackers and sharing information across Digital x Editorial
  • teams
  • Updating editor information and recording known agency relationships for visibility
  • Contact categorisation/organisation and tagging - Pulling together internal press
  • mailing lists from the editor Airtable for NPD, events, sales etc.
  • Supporting the identification and escalation of contact opportunities with journalists who are featuring regularly in top-ranking or AI-featured content.

Reporting:

Compiling monthly reports using agreed templates and data provided by the editorial

team, highlighting key press moments as directed.

Gifting:

Coordinating and actioning press gifting as instructed for UK/US and EU territories.

Airtable seeding/gifting tracker management.

Resource Creation and Briefing:

  • Maintaining team folders with press releases, assets and quote banks.
  • Working on press x marketing resources - supporting the briefing process for
  • resources and assets.
  • Maintaining and updating our publisher commerce deck with NPD, pricing, links,
  • OOS/discontinued products etc.
  • Supporting sales/offer creation and trader actioning as directed - checking that all links, pricing etc are correct across all relevant markets.

Skills, knowledge & expertise:

  • Experience supporting digital or media teams with press coverage management, content maintenance, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and flag issues such as discontinued products, incorrect pricing, broken links, or outdated offers.
  • Experience maintaining trackers and contact databases, including editor and journalist information.
  • Ability to categorise, tag, and organise contacts and coverage, and build targeted press mailing lists.
  • Experience compiling monthly reports using agreed templates and supplied data.
  • Confident using Airtable, spreadsheets, and shared drives to manage trackers, gifting, and resources.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work across multiple workstreams at pace.
  • Clear written communication and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
