A leading NHS Trust in Lindley, England, is seeking a full-time Locum Consultant in General Anaesthetics and Intensive Care to join a team of dedicated professionals. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment with flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will need FRCA/FFICM and be registered with the GMC, with a background in clinical anaesthetics and intensive care. The post is full-time with 10 sessions per week and includes participation in the on-call rota.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Substantive Consultants in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care to join our team.
Posts are available for both General Anaesthesia, and ICM with Anaesthesia.
The successful candidate will become part of a friendly, dynamic group of Anaesthetic and Intensive Care Consultants. We are committed to the ongoing development of our department and team, as well as advancing the wider organisational goals and culture.

To provide a high standard of care to any patient for whom you have clinical responsibility.
The successful applicant will take part in the general on call rota, either at Calderdale or Huddersfield depending on service requirements and prior discussion with the Clinical Directors.
Surgical specialties provided by the Trust include ENT, Trauma & Orthopaedics, General, Ophthalmic, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Upper GI (including Bariatrics), Urological (including laparoscopic resections), Colorectal, Robotic and Plastic surgery. Some paediatric work is undertaken within these specialties.
We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.
We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people’s services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.
We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.

This is a Full-Time post providing 10 Programmed Activities (PAs), including SPA 1.5 PA, but applicants wishing to work part-time are also encouraged to apply and job plans will be adjusted accordingly, and by negotiation with appointees.

You may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £54.40, Standard £26.40 or Basic £26.40) from your salary when you commence in post (including internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £16 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
