Fleet-Serv have been trading for 17 years and are one of the forefront suppliers of repair and maintenance services to the UK transport industry, this ranges from HGV, Trailers. light commercials and lifting equipment, maintaining over 10,000 assets on various arrangements, our brand pillars are, Approachable, Reliable, Experience & Expertise. We offer a variety of contracts which can be tailormade to suit our customer’s requirements, our customers include high street retailers, hire companies and independent hauliers, our customers are supported through our own network of mobile engineers and customer-based vehicle maintenance units, in addition to this we have an approved network of service partners who carryout work on our behalf.
We currently have exciting opportunities for HGV/Trailer Technicians to join our workshops in Beeston and Kettering.
The Role
Our technicians perform maintenance and repairs of trailers, vans and trucks. Previous experience as an HGV Technician is essential. We offer a rewarding career in the transportation industry with a competitive hourly rate of pay, overtime and other benefits.
Responsibilities include:
Carry out Service, Maintenance and Repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Carry out inspections
Complete MOT prep/ presentation
Completion of all required paperwork, including job cards and service sheets using online systems
Fault diagnosis and rectification
To work safely and comply with H&S legislation and company procedures at all time
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Mechanics
HGV Class 1 license preferable but not a must
Good communication skills
Functional IT knowledge beneficial
Minimum 2 years post qualified experience is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Awareness of Health and Safety as it relates to our industry
