Job description

Gray Healthcare are recruiting a Female Support Worker in the Lincoln area of Lincolnshire to support a female with treatment resistant schizophrenia and frontal lobe syndrome.

The person lives independently in their own home and receives 1-2-1 24‑hour support from a female‑only team on day and night shifts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Social care experience, ideally in mental health and supporting individuals with schizophrenia
• Experience in supporting individuals with challenging behaviours
• Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments
• Skills in adapting communication practices to aid understanding
• Motivated to promote engagement in meaningful activities
• Desire to support cultural and spiritual needs
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Right to work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months (no sponsorship)
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Working Hours

36‑hour contract: 3 × 12‑hour night shifts from 8 pm to 8 am.

Induction and Training

Initial week of online training covering company induction, systems and medication, followed by in‑person training on PROACT‑SCIPR‑UK and person‑centred approaches. Ongoing training continues throughout employment.
