Job description

Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral
Hours: Monday to Friday (38 hours over 4 or 5 days)
Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum
Overtime: Available at time and a half

We're seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter to join a growing team in Birkenhead. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both online and offline programming and confident working from technical engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Set, program, and operate CNC milling machines in line with production and safety standards
• Perform online and offline programming (experience with Heidenhain controls preferred but not essential)
• Carry out minor maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar CNC machining role
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Experience with Heidenhain systems is advantageous
