Business Development Executive

Capgemini Financial Services is seeking an ambitious BDE for their Insurance Market Unit in the UK. This is a permanent, full‑time role based in London, but travel will be required on a regular basis to designated clients. Infrequent travel may also be required to other UK, European and worldwide locations based on business needs.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre‑employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and an unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead / pipeline generation; early‑stage opportunity creation; support sales and GTM; collaborate with partners/internal sales teams
  • Driving demand and contributing to opportunity qualification; responsible for development and annual growth of the account(s)
  • Development and successful execution of account strategies
  • Developing client intimacy to enable proactive propositions
  • Coordinate marketing, sales, delivery, and subject matter expertise capabilities required to grow the account
  • Sell and deliver within the account, adhering to approved revenue and contribution margin guidelines; work with sales team to develop and drive service offerings and campaigns for new business
  • Oversight of project teams working on accounts, accountable for overall account success
  • Develop and maintain executive‑level client relationships
  • Engage with industry leaders, insurtechs and alliances to evaluate joint propositions
Your skills and experience
  • 10+ years of account management experience mainly within Financial Services
  • Good understanding of the general insurance market in motor and home, commercial property and casualty (advantageous)
  • Proven track record of sales with annual incremental growth and profitability
  • Ability to shape go‑to‑market/penetration strategies
  • Proven ability to leverage and explore wider partnerships to drive growth and create value for clients with a strong C‑level network
  • Understand technology trends and adapt them to meet client's needs and business goals
  • Understanding of working in a global delivery model
