Looking for a role where your work genuinely matters? As a Support Worker with Rushcliffe Care Group, you will support people through their everyday lives, helping them feel safe, respected, and supported, even on challenging days.

About Rushcliffe Care Group

You will be joining Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 35 years of experience in offering the highest levels of care to our most vulnerable in society.

Across our services, we support people to live safer, more fulfilling lives, with dignity, choice, and consistency at the centre of everything we do.

Our work is guided by clear values. These are not slogans. They shape how we treat people, how we work together, and what we expect from each other.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, no two days are exactly the same, but your role is about supporting people to live their day in a way that feels safe, meaningful, and respectful.

On a typical shift, you might help someone with personal care, support them with meals, offer reassurance, or spend time talking and engaging in activities they enjoy. You may support people to attend appointments, maintain routines, or manage more challenging moments with patience and calm.

You will work as part of a team, following individual support plans and guidance, making sure support is provided safely while promoting independence and choice wherever possible.

We are recruiting:

  • One Day Support Worker
  • One Night Support Worker (waking nights)

Shifts are worked across seven days, including weekends. Rotas are issued fairly and four weeks in advance.

About You

You do not need previous care experience, but you do need the right approach.

We are looking for people who take responsibility seriously and understand that consistency and reliability make a real difference to the people we support.

You are someone who follows guidance, works well with others, and treats people with patience and respect, even on challenging days. You are comfortable communicating with colleagues and managers and are willing to ask for help or raise concerns when needed.

You are open to learning, accepting feedback, and developing your skills over time. Full training and support will be provided.

What Our Values Mean in Practice

Reputable Care

  • Supporting people exactly as set out in their support plans.
  • Using equipment correctly and following training to keep people safe.
  • Taking time to do things properly, even when a shift is busy.

Respect and Compassion

  • Explaining what you are doing and involving people in decisions about their care.
  • Listening when someone is anxious or distressed and offering reassurance.
  • Respecting privacy, dignity, and personal routines.

Robust Communication

  • Sharing important information clearly at handover.
  • Recording support accurately so others have a clear picture.
  • Raising concerns promptly if someone’s needs or behaviour change.

Real Commitment

  • Arriving on time and being ready to support the team.
  • Taking feedback on board and using it to improve how you work.
About the Service

Heron Court provides residential care and support in a calm, welcoming environment. The service supports adults with a range of needs, with a focus on consistency, safety, and person-centred care.

The team works closely together to provide structured support, promote independence where possible, and ensure people feel settled, listened to, and respected in their home.

What We Offer

We provide a structured induction and clear development pathway, so you feel confident and supported from day one. You will receive regular supervision, practical feedback, and ongoing guidance from experienced managers.

We actively support people who want to build a long-term career in care. This includes funded access to NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care, where appropriate to the role, alongside service-specific training. Many of our senior team started in frontline roles, and we are committed to developing talent from within.

Whether you are new to care or already working in the sector, apply now to join Rushcliffe Care Group and take the next step in your career.

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.

Rushcliffe Care Group is committed to being an equal opportunities employer. We value diversity and are dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, in line with the Equality Act 2010. We encourage applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. Employment decisions are based on individual merit, qualifications, and the needs of the service. Some roles may have specific requirements, such as physical ability or effective communication in English, due to the nature of the care we provide. These requirements are applied fairly and proportionately. If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know.
