Lead Engineer | Weekly visits to Central Bristol | Salary Range: £85-100k

Would you like to spend your day-job helping the UK become net-zero?

These opportunities don’t come around too often – I’m working with a startup who are supporting the UK with its goal of becoming Net Zero by 2050!

They’re currently a team of circa 20 (with around 50% of the business working in engineering) and are looking to add the first Lead Engineer to their existing team.

You’ll remain hands‑on, working on a range of exciting projects & providing leadership.

What you’ll need

• Excellent full stack expertise in the TypeScript stack (Node.js & React)
• Either experience of line managing a small team, or a natural aptitude to do so
• A desire to work in a role with an even balance of hands‑on coding & team leadership
• Experience in a fast‑paced start‑up environment or ability to operate in such an environment
• The ability to contribute towards high‑level technical decisions & direction
• A strong user‑focus; building products that focus on how they will impact the most important people – the users!
• A passion for environmentally‑focussed products or developing clever solutions for society‑wide issues
• Highly collaborative and enthusiastic about working on a hybrid‑working basis alongside amazing colleagues a couple of days a week in Bristol!
