The Position:

The Engineer will work within the Systems Engineering team to support the development of our FDA-regulated medical devices that delivers diagnostic results that are clear and actionable. You will be counted on to contribute to maintain the day to day running of instruments, managing software builds on the devices and deployment across our cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing and executing repairs or modifications to instruments in support of reported issues, investigations, or design improvements.
  • Detailed analysis, reporting and record-keeping of defective units within lab spaces, ensuring working set of instruments for daily use.
  • Product and component testing, and reliability testing
  • Collaborating with mechanical and software engineers to integrate new features or designs in support of verification and validation activities.
  • Work closely with the internal teams to provide technical support and implement improvements in cross-collaborative practices
    Education, Experience and Demonstrated Skills:
    • BEng or MSc in engineering (e.g., Systems, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or related discipline.
    • 2+ years’ experience in industry.
    • Understanding of microcontrollers, software development/debugging of scripts and programs.
    • Experience of using CAD software is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to learn about working within a regulated industry environment.
