Job description
Role & Responsibilities (Accountabilities):
Surveying:
  1. Professional and accurate completion of survey report plans.
  2. Professional and accurate completion of asbestos survey reports using Teams including data uploads in a timely manner.
  3. Accurately and timely quality check asbestos survey reports and rectify anomalies where required.
  4. Client contact to discuss survey report findings, ongoing management of ACM's and additional sales opportunities.
  5. Ensure all site & contract related paperwork is collected or prepared from the office in a timely manner.
  6. Ensure all equipment & materials are available to complete the survey safely and diligently.
  7. Communicate effectively with the client pre-survey, during & post-survey.
  8. Communicate effectively with office team pre-survey, during & post-survey.
  9. Completion of site RAMS & identify all project related risks to ensure all H&S risks have been addressed and reported.
  10. Be fully trained and competent in use of survey specific equipment including IPAF, PASMA & Confined space.
  11. Competently interpret survey scope of works (all survey & property types) to ensure project and client requirements are delivered.
  12. Competent & timely delivery of asbestos surveys (all survey & property types) in line with inhouse and UKAS procedures.
  13. Where required competent & accurate completion of site paperwork including it being returned to the office in a timely manner.
  14. Competent & accurate completion of lab paperwork including Bulk Samples posted in a timely manner.
  15. Train and mentor and trainee surveyors and less experienced surveyors through leading by example showing the highest standards in all aspects of service delivery.
  16. Competently communicate areas of damaged ACM's requiring remedial action with office and client. Where possible, prior to leaving site and advise on best course of action such as containment and air monitoring.
  17. Report accidents and incidents in line with company and H&S procedures.
Additional Services:
  1. Effective communication with clients on asbestos related contaminated land issues
  2. Competently deliver large- and small-scale asbestos in soils & WAC Testing projects.
  3. Competently deliver ad hoc testing services including Anthrax, Density Testing, Lead in Paint etc.
  4. Competently deliver Asbestos Awareness Training (AAT), Non-Licensed Training, Duty to Manage Training and refresher to full range of clients.
  5. Provide general assistance with the ongoing development and improvement of training courses delivered.
  6. Be able to communicate with clients an extensive knowledge and understanding of Asbestos Regulations, Legislation & Guidance documents.
  7. Work with clients to develop & implement fully compliant asbestos management plans (AMP's) small to large scale.
  8. Produce Priority Risk Assessments (PRA's) for incorporation into AMPs.
  9. Undertake asbestos management plan audits, inclusive of identifying recommendations and improvements.
  10. Produce bespoke, ad hoc asbestos documents to assist clients to manage asbestos.
  11. Aid Q&T Manager with company re-survey requirements as per UKAS procedures.
  12. Aid Q&T Manager with quality audits. Identify anomalies and training needs.
  13. Provide general assistance to Q&T Manager to ensure the ongoing development of quality within the company and maintenance of UKAS accreditation.
  14. Aid with ad hoc site visits and pricing of asbestos surveys and other related services.
  15. Attend project prestart meetings and client liaison and sales meetings.
  16. Promote the services of the business to generate new business leads and opportunities.
  17. Carry out compliance health check audits and recommendations.
Analytical
  1. Whilst on site Identify and competently upsell other services of business during surveys including air monitoring, training, AMP's etc.
  2. Be fully trained and competent in the use of air monitoring equipment.
  3. Be familiar with all aspects of air monitoring strategies, tests and apply suitable methods to complete the scope of work required.
  4. Participate in internal and external quality control schemes and achieve satisfactory results
  5. Be able to carry out project related tasks in line with procedures, guidance, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Carry out the required checks and calibration of on-site air monitoring equipment.
