Oncology Pharmacist – Permanent (Derby)
Salary: £55,000–£60,000 DOE | Hours: 37.5 per week | Hybrid Working: 2 days per week from home | Regular travel required to Derby
Trident healthcare are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Oncology Pharmacist to join our client’s dynamic team in Derby. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Oncology Pharmacist to support daily oncology operations, contribute to team development, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high‑quality patient care. This is a hybrid position offering two days per week working from home, and the postholder must be able to commute to Derby regularly. Standard working hours are 9:00–17:30, with the option to discuss condensed or flexible working arrangements on an individual basis.

To succeed in this role, you must be a GPhC‑registered pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain focus over long periods. Hospital or homecare experience is highly desirable, with strong communication skills, a systematic approach, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Candidates must have completed BOPA SACT Passport modules 2a, 2b, and 2c in solid tumour and haematology. Experience includes working on oncology wards, clinically screening Oncology SACT prescriptions, administering IV oncology treatments, ordering chemotherapy, and using oncology e‑prescribing systems such as iQemo. A postgraduate qualification in oncology, experience in clinical decision‑making, and experience training or upskilling pharmacy team members would be advantageous.
