Job description

GLL is looking for a Training Support Officer to join the team based at head office in Woolwich, South East London. The Training Support Officer assists the organisation in remaining compliant with regards to essential qualifications and offering training programmes that deliver skills that meet the business needs. As part of the team, the Training Support Officer will contribute to a clearly defined training policy and learner journeys that are accessible and understood by the workforce. The required compliance, induction and CPD training for staff will be administrated and delivered by the training support officer and team, largely managed via various internal and external learning digital systems.

Responsible to the Training Manager, you’ll be organised and committed to supporting the training programme and helping the business understand what we offer.

What you’ll do:
  • You’ll help organise training programmes and our essential qualifications.
  • Work with the Training Manager to produce training reports to monitor compliance training, identify gaps, minimise business risk and inform training requirements.
  • With the Training Manager, support the multi-skilling and pay structure agendas with regards to training delivery.
  • Help to ensure that employment/essential qualifications, induction and CPD training for the workforce are clearly defined and understood.
  • Help ensure that staff have access to training that ensures a skilled and competent workforce, to support continuous development, progression and career development.
  • Support in the monitoring of the diversity of learners and training access, in alignment with the EDI policy and plan.
  • Support a ‘One GLL’ understanding and learning culture amongst the workforce and a reputation as an organisation that demonstrates commitment to our people via our training offer.
  • Help provide course data that informs the annual training plan and budgets.
  • Work with the people team to ensure that essential qualifications are recorded at the point of recruitment, enabling accurate training records and successful management of renewable qualifications.
  • Help operate the on-line systems to ensure a smooth and successful induction journey for new staff.
  • Administrate the digital systems on an ongoing basis to support operations, service quality and business performance.
  • Support with any applicable access to employment initiatives.
What you need:
  • Experience with Training/HR Digital systems
  • An understanding of the administration of e-learning.
  • To have previously worked with training providers.
  • Some experience of organising training courses would be ideal.
  • Understand the importance of GDPR in training and digital system management.
  • Attention to detail, organisational skills and a confident and professional approach.
  • Digitally savvy and passionate about a digital training solution.
  • Ability to produce results to deadlines and work on a number of issues simultaneously.
  • GCSE level qualifications.
  • Good verbal communicator.
  • Excellent written communication.
