As a Duty Pharmacy Manager you’ll make a real impact on patients and customers every day. You’ll support pharmacists, deliver NHS and private services, provide healthcare advice, and drive community‑focused initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Supply prescriptions, deliver NHS and private services, and provide healthcare advice to customers.
  • Play an active role in the charities support programme, offering advice to people at risk of or living with cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager to lead, train, and develop colleagues.
  • Build relationships with Primary Care Networks and GP surgeries.
  • Ensure accurate payment claims for NHS‑covered items.
Qualifications
  • Pharmacy Degree.
  • A passion for leading and empowering a team.
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and willing to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
  • Completion of a DBS check (organised by Tesco).

Our Duty Pharmacy Managers are supported by wider store teams – security, stock replenishment, range management, and administration – to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for customers and patients while maintaining safety for colleagues.

Tesco Pharmacies offers colleagues high flexibility and control over work rotas, enabling routine overlap periods with other pharmacists on duty. This allows ideas about patient care and colleague development to be worked on together.
