A local government authority in Tranent is seeking a school lunch supervisor to assist pupils in the dining hall during lunch hours. This role includes ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the eating environment. Candidates must have a good general education and be members of the PVG scheme. The position is sessional and will run during school term times, offering an hourly rate of £13.06 - £13.20.
The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part‑time hours / sessional posts will be pro‑rated accordingly.

This is a 38‑week sessional post; working hours will be during school term time only.

Sanderson's Wynd Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school community situated in the town of Tranent. This post is to assist pupils in the lunch hall and to support the safe and orderly running of lunch times.
To supervise children in the dining room and ensure it is a safe, clean and pleasant place to eat. The full range of tasks and duties is detailed in the attached Job Outline/Person Specification; applicants are required to review it before completing the application form and must meet every ‘essential’ criterion to be considered for interview.

Relevant Qualifications: A good standard of general education.
PVG Membership: This post is a regulated role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults. All candidates must be members of the PVG scheme (or undergo an update) before any formal offer is made.
Criminal Record Checks: Candidates who have spent more than 3 months working or living outside the UK in the last 5 years must provide an overseas criminal record check.
