Petersfield Town Council | Starting Salary: £49,282 (SCP 37 – 41) | Permanent / Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an exciting, new senior management role at Petersfield Town Council to join our busy and friendly team. We are a medium sized Council made up of 12 Councillors, 21 staff operating over three departments and an annual budget of around £1.7m.

As Deputy Town Clerk, you’ll be involved in helping deliver a range of high-quality services across the Council’s portfolio of responsibilities, including the management of our diverse open spaces, supporting the Town Clerk in key management tasks (strategic, HR, legal and contractual) as well as getting involved in project based work to make a real difference in our town.

  • Solid leadership and line management experience.
  • Experience of open spaces management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, evident throughout your work experience.
  • Proven skills with financial management and an understanding of legal compliance.
  • Project based work and knowledge of scheduling process driven tasks to successful completion.
  • A strong sense of accountability and are excited about making a positive difference to our wonderful town.
