Job Title: Deputy Manager

Salary/Rate: £42,000.00 – £46,000.00 / Year

Duties
  • Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to maintain high standards of care.
  • Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer’s care programmes.
  • Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Monitor residents’ health and well-being, responding promptly to any changes or concerns.
  • Organise staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover for all shifts while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
  • Support staff training and development programmes to uphold best practices in nursing and senior care.
  • Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Liaise with families and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Experience
  • Proven experience working within assisted living or nursing home environments, ideally with a focus on dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Demonstrable supervisory or management experience within a care home or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team of carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to senior care, including safeguarding procedures.
