A prominent UK healthcare provider seeks a Dental Receptionist to support the Emergency Dental Treatment Centre. This role involves being the first point of contact for patients, providing essential administrative support across various dental services. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, along with familiarity with electronic patient systems. The position is full-time with a 37-hour workweek, primarily Monday to Friday. The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30, comprising 37 hours per week.
The posts support the delivery of care at the Emergency Dental Treatment Centre – Royal Alexandria Hospital, with an additional requirement of cross‑cover from base to other Public Dental Service locations throughout NHSGG&C.
As Dental Receptionists, you will be the first point of contact for patients and other health professionals. Your tasks will include providing administrative support to all dental clinics and the wider team, covering services such as paediatrics, adult special care, domiciliary care, unregistered and emergency care, undergraduate outreach clinic, and the general anaesthetic theatre.
Applicants should possess excellent organisational and communication skills, be proficient with computer systems, and be able to prioritise their workload. A working knowledge of electronic patient systems R4 Clinical Plus and Trakcare is desirable.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa, and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
