You’ll handle the delivery and collection of hire equipment and consumables, ensure safe loading of the vehicle, and represent us with a friendly, confident approach making sure every customer receives a dependable, first‑class service.

With your strong driving skills, attention to detail, excellent time management and friendly outgoing personality, you’ll play an important role within our Welding division. You’ll ensure all equipment is loaded safely, securely, and delivered efficiently.

As you build product knowledge and customer relationships, you’ll become a trusted face of First Response, known for reliability and professionalism. The Welding division is a relatively new addition to the First Respond brand and is growing quickly, providing great opportunities for everyone involved in that growth.

Your Responsibilities
  • Delivering and collecting welding equipment from industrial sites
  • Safely loading and unloading the delivery vehicle
  • Inspecting and identifying any damage to tools and equipment, reporting findings promptly
  • Updating job information using a PDA system
  • Adhering to all Hire safety procedures, audits, and compliance requirements
  • Providing friendly, professional customer service at all times

What you will bring
  • A clean, valid UK driving licence
  • Multi‑drop delivery experience (preferably within construction or hire sectors)
  • Knowledge of welding equipment or similar equipment (advantageous but not essential)
  • Reliability, punctuality, and pride in your work
  • Physical capability to load and unload a range of tools and equipment
  • A friendly, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
  • A smart, professional appearance and a positive, can‑do attitude
