About the Role

The award-winning B&Q Crime Centre is looking for a driven and analytical Crime & Intelligence Analyst to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in identifying organised crime groups, supporting investigations, and helping protect colleagues, customers and assets across the UK.

You will work at the heart of our Intelligence & Enforcement function, turning data and incident information into actionable insights that directly support offender disruption, operational decision-making, and long-term crime reduction.

This role is office-based in Northamptonshire, with a structured shift pattern to support national operational demand.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Crime & Intelligence Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct first response triage, identifying priority incidents and emerging patterns.
  • Identify active offenders and OCG operations through intelligence and data analysis.
  • Produce high-quality OCG evidence packs including CCTV, statements, timelines, and behavioural insights.
  • Liaise with police forces and Opal partners to support joint investigations.
  • Produce intelligence bulletins and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review, collate and catalogue CCTV and evidential material for investigations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in intelligence, investigations, crime analysis, or similar analytical work.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Excellent written communication with the ability to produce professional intelligence products.
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and data handling skills.
  • Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets.

Desirable
Experience in loss prevention, policing, security, intelligence, or organised crime analysis OR a relevant criminology, policing, intelligence, or investigations qualification at graduate level.

  • OSINT capability or familiarity with online investigative tools.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Looker Studio, SQL, Apps Script, or similar.
  • Understanding of offender behaviour, crime patterns, or retail crime trends.
Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week
  • Standard hours: 8am – 5pm
  • 1 Saturday every 1 in 7 weeks

Occasional flexibility required to support ongoing investigations

Office-based role – must be able to travel to Northampton
