If you have technical expertise and an analytical mindset, we need you on our team. You will diagnose faults and conduct root cause analysis for an advanced fleet across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, using electrical schematics, test equipment, and diagnostic software. You will perform corrective actions and repairs on new trains in a depot setting to ensure passenger service availability and reliability. As a Real Living Wage Employer, CAF pays competitively. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £47,500 per annum, rising to £49,000 per annum when competent.
To succeed in the role, you should have: NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience, experience detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems, ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams, proficiency with diagnostic software and test equipment. A valid driver’s license and a flexible approach to working varying shifts including weekends, day and night shifts.
