Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Conventional / Manual Turner to join a specialist engineering company in Bury, renowned throughout the world for engineering excellence and precision products.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines on the finishing side (1M up to 4M long) as a conventional/manual Turner.
• Machine close tolerances and provide screw‑cutting capabilities.
• Perform milling, drilling and grinding tasks as required.
• Read varied engineering drawings and work from sample components.
• Ensure production of a quality product with a focus on precision.

Qualifications

• Experience as a conventional/manual Turner.
• Proficiency in milling, drilling and grinding (advantageous).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: Up to £39,500 pa. Working Hours: 39‑hour week over a 4½‑day schedule (Monday to Friday).
