Jones Building Group is a West Country based building contractor which manages over £20M of new construction, responsive maintenance and planned maintenance contracts on behalf of Providers of Social Housing and Local Authorities.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Contracts Supervisor to join our team based in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, and a family business built on core values trading since 1979.

About the Role:

  • Responsible to the Contracts Manager
  • Deliver our planned and reactive works programme
  • Supervise and administer contracts with both internal and external providers
  • Ensure excellent performance management is continued by undertaking regular site visits to inspect works in progress and complete
  • Develop close working relationships with our clients to foster a culture of collaborative working
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure they are consulted and regularly updated
  • Adhering to and implementing site Health and Safety
  • Writing and checking method statements and risk assessments as required
  • Management of various staff and controlling labour resources
  • Responsibility for ordering and checking materials

About the Candidate:

  • Must have construction knowledge
  • Need to have an understanding of the principles of health and safety
  • A trade background would be beneficial.
  • Must be self-motivated as well as a motivator
  • SSSTS would be desirable
  • Knowledge of writing risk assessments and method statement.

This is a busy and varied role, which will allow you to develop and enhance your knowledge of the wider business
