  • Salary: £25,120 per annum
  • Site: Sky, No 4 Capital Quarter, Tyndall Street, Cardiff CF10 4BQ
  • Shifts: 37.5 hours per week (Working 3, 4 or 5 days between the hours of 8:30am - 8pm including evenings and weekends)
Join us as a Contact Centre Sales Advisor in our Cardiff contact centre earning £5,120 per annum with incentives on top - you can earn an extra ,900 on average by achieving targets.
We operate a hybrid working pattern after training which allows colleagues to gain a work life balance with the opportunity to work from office and home for part of the week. In this role, you'll work in a fast-paced call centre, handling inbound calls from existing customers considering leaving Sky. You'll actively listen to understand their needs and provide the best possible solutions, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and appreciated.
What you'll do
  • Handle inbound calls from existing customers considering cancelling all or part of their Sky subscription.
  • Build strong connections through engaging conversations to understand their needs, address any concerns, and ensure they are offered the most suitable package.
  • Work in a target-based environment
  • Work 37.5 hours p/wk Mon-Sun with varied set shift patterns available. Your set shift will be allocated at the offer stage and your preferences taken into account wherever possible. When our customers need us most, you'll work up to 5 hours extra per week (max 10 times per year) and bank this time to take back as extra time off
Training and Development
Training and Development is hugely important to us which is why we'll teach you all you need to know about our amazing products and how to deal with any challenge, no matter how big or small, so you can achieve your full potential as a Sales Advisor.
At Sky, our comprehensive 7-week training program is designed to fully prepare new starters for their role. It begins with classroom-based sessions, where employees become familiar with the role, systems, and products. This is followed by time in our Academy, where they handle live customer calls under the guidance of a Role Model. Both the training and Academy sessions are conducted entirely face-to-face in the office, from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. To ensure participants gain the most from the program, we ask that no holidays are taken during this period.

Who we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a sales trainer, sales manager or sales enablement role, ideally within a healthcare, contact centre, or regulated environment.
  • Background in sales, customer service, or healthcare administration preferred
  • Certification or formal training in adult education, learning and development, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training to multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare products and services, and relevant compliance requirements (e.g., medical device, pharmaceutical, insurance, or patient support sectors)
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyse performance data and apply insights to training strategy
  • Demonstrated coaching and feedback skills and experience
  • Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality

Key Role Purpose & Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Planning & Forecasting Analysts, driving continuous improvement.
  • Produce precise customer demand forecasts using advanced analytics and modelling techniques.
  • Build and maintain rolling mid-term resource plans aligned with change programmes and marketing initiatives.
  • Continuously review and amend the ‘plan’ to assess and flex against seasonality, commercial drivers, and shrinkage patterns -ensuring upto date information and actions are available to ensure relevant and accurate decision making.
  • Optimise planning processes and enhance Workforce Management (WFM) tools.
  • Collaborate with long-term planning and scheduling teams to ensure seamless operational alignment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in contact centre resource planning and team leadership.
  • Advanced forecasting and modelling skills, including scenario and “what-if” analysis.
  • Strong Excel proficiency and familiarity with Erlang methodologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end resource planning cycle.
  • Hands‑on capabilities with WFM tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management & influencing capabilities.
