Our CE&I practice engages with leaders in energy and utility clients to navigate the energy transition. We work across value chains creating decarbonisation strategies and drive solutions including renewable generation, green gases and hydrogen, demand response/flexibility, smarter electricity grids, carbon capture and storage, and related infrastructures.

We operate in a collaborative model integrating insights from industry, policy and regulation teams with deep expertise in energy systems and sustainability.

What You Will Do
  • Create meaningful impact for clients on projects such as decarbonisation pathways, electricity network innovation, flexibility markets, net‑zero business models, energy efficiency, regional whole‑system solutions, network asset management, and offshore wind infrastructure.
  • Perform industry research, engage stakeholders, prepare deliverables and present findings.
  • Synthesise data into clear analyses and provide fact‑based recommendations.
  • Support development of implementation plans and client proposals.
  • Collaborate with Guidehouse colleagues globally and in related teams.

What You Will Need
  • Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., engineering, energy, economics, mathematics, international business, physical sciences).
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Curiosity and/or experience in topics such as power systems, renewable integration, decarbonisation, flexibility markets, transmission planning, climate risk, gas role, low‑carbon gas opportunities, sustainability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in analytics tools a plus.
  • Right to work in the UK (e.g., UK Passport, Irish Passport, British National Overseas Passport, Indefinite Leave to Remain / Settled Status); Guidehouse does not sponsor visas.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Flexibility to work with Guidehouse colleagues in London and other UK locations.

  • Willingness to travel internationally.
