Job summary

A leading distributor in construction machinery seeks a Construction Sales Representative in Preston. You will engage with customers, sell new and used machinery, and build lasting relationships. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, industry knowledge, and a full UK driving licence. This role offers a competitive salary with commission, a company vehicle, and extensive training. Most of your time will be spent on the road visiting clients across the Lancashire region.

Due to business growth, we’re expanding our sales team and so an exciting opportunity has opened for a Construction Sales Representative to join our team at Lloyd Ltd Lancashire. Covering our territory across the Lancashire region, this is an opportunity with fantastic potential for the right individual.

If you have strong customer service skills, a good understanding of the construction industry, and a desire to build lasting relationships while selling market‑leading machinery — we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Selling new and used construction machinery from world‑renowned brands, including Bobcat and Liugong, to both existing and new customers in our territory.
  • Building strong, long‑term relationships with our customers.
  • Understanding our customers’ needs and matching them with the right machinery solutions.
  • Promoting our full product range and attending shows, demos, and events.
  • Managing the full sales process — from quote to delivery — including all relevant paperwork.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about construction machinery.
  • Has strong customer service and relationship‑building skills.
  • Is a confident communicator and IT literate.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Has previous sales experience (ideal, but not essential if you have industry knowledge/understanding).

Location

Based at Lloyd Ltd Lancashire (Cabus Nook Farm, Cabus Nook, Cabus, Preston, PR3 1AA), but you’ll spend most of your time on the road, visiting customers in our territory.

Hours

Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
