A leading tech firm in the UK is seeking an Electronics Engineer to support component management and compliance activities. The role involves collaborating with design engineers, maintaining databases, and reviewing documentation to ensure availability and compliance with regulations. The Role

The role is an important part of our design process which ensure our electronic development are performed efficiently and delivered for long term availability requirements. The role requires an individual who is very well organised such that a variety of large amount of information can be tracked and managed properly all in a timely manner.

What will I be doing?

Working as part of a team, you will:

  • Assist with component approvals and maintenance of components database on ERP system.
  • Help design engineers with component selection for new designs.
  • Review Bills of Materials (BoM) for new and existing products at assess availability and lifecycle status.
  • Assist in reviewing Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and component end of life notices.
  • Work with Procurement to help resolve supply issues by identifying suitable alternative components.
  • Support compliance activates, including monitoring RoHS and REACH compliance
What are we looking for?

Essential knowledge & experience:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of electronic components and their applications.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn about component lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with RoHS/REACH.
  • Knowledge of design proving and bring up of electronics.
  • Experience in the defence & aerospace industry or electronics manufacturing
