Role Overview

As the Compliance Audit Manager, you will oversee all internal, external, and supplier audit activities to ensure full compliance with global infant formula and baby food regulations, as well as Kendal Nutricare’s internal quality and food safety standards. This remote role requires travel within EMEA.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive audit program covering internal processes, third‑party manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Plan, lead, and execute internal, supplier, and TPM audits to verify compliance with company policies, local and international regulations (EU, FDA, CFDA, etc.) and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the audit schedule, ensuring timely completion and follow‑up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Provide oversight and coordination during third‑party and regulatory inspections.
  • Lead audit readiness initiatives across all manufacturing sites.
  • Identify potential areas of non‑compliance or risk in manufacturing and supply‑chain operations; recommend and monitor corrective measures.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of auditors and quality professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply‑Chain teams to address audit findings and implement preventive measures.
  • Support training initiatives to enhance audit readiness and regulatory awareness across departments.
  • Maintain QTAs with TPMs and suppliers.
  • Create and maintain audit standards for auditing TPMs and suppliers.
  • Compile detailed audit reports, risk assessments, and trend analyses for senior management review.
  • Present key findings and KPI summaries during management review meetings.
  • Champion continuous improvement in audit processes through benchmarking and best practice sharing.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in quality auditing within the infant formula, dairy, or nutritional powder sector.
  • Strong understanding of global infant formula standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU Directive, US FDA, SAMR China, Codex).
  • Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS / SQF) or equivalent and PCQI certified.
  • Proven experience leading multi‑site audits and managing CAPA processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, traceability, and microbiological controls.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities with an ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
