A personal assistance service in Chippenham is seeking a warm and enthusiastic Companion PA to support a young gentleman who loves trains. The role involves building companionship, encouraging independence, and enjoying shared railway experiences together. Ideal candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and be reliable, patient, and cheerful. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as the role is informal and requires aligning plans with the employer's preferences.
We are looking for a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic PA to support a young gentleman who has a love for trains. This role is perfect for someone who shares that same enthusiasm—someone who can enjoy talking about trains, visiting stations, and going on enjoyable rail journeys together.
As his PA, you will play an important part in encouraging his independence, especially when accessing the community and exploring places by train. More than anything, your role will be about building a genuine rapport and offering companionship. This is not a traditional structured position; instead, it’s a flexible, as-and-when role where you’ll agree plans together and enjoy shared outings at a pace that suits him.
If you are kind, patient, and excited by the idea of supporting someone through shared interests and meaningful experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
If you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer. If the role is employed, you will be entitled to holiday pay and issued an employment contract.
Please note: If you do not hear back within three weeks of applying, unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion.
