Job description

From £12.21 per hour to £20.00 per hour. Contact time, travel time, and up to 20 minutes waiting time included, plus 22-44p per mile.

Responsible for:

To deliver high-quality domiciliary care to Customers, primarily in their own homes, with the aim of improving quality of life.

REPORTS TO:
Overview

To support the Customer in living a dignified and independent life within the community. This may include personal, emotional, social, and physical support in line with the care plan. Our ethos is to care for our Customers as you would for a family member, while maintaining a professional relationship.

As the role involves working with vulnerable people, confidentiality, sensitivity, ensuring dignity and privacy, and appropriate behaviour are critical.

The role requires the person to:

Responsibilities of All:

  • Respect Customer wishes and rules in their homes
  • Provide feedback for service improvements
  • Live up to Company ethos with colleagues
  • Avoid forming relationships outside work
  • Address Customer concerns promptly and escalate when necessary
Main Responsibilities of Role:

This role is not a 9 to 5 job; services are provided 24/7 on a rota basis.

Administration
  • Represent the Company professionally in the community
  • Identify Customer needs with Supervisor
  • Complete care plans according to standards
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Participate in training and record CPD
  • Comply with legal, CQC, and franchise standards
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes
  • Attend meetings and supervision sessions
  • Complete timesheets and obtain Customer signatures
Customer Support
  • Continuously assess Customer needs and update care plans
  • Respond promptly to changes or risks
  • Monitor signs of distress or health deterioration
  • Encourage Customer participation in activities
  • Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the home
  • Help with shopping, bill payments, and meal preparation
  • Record medication and support end-of-life care
Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality
  • Use equipment properly and minimize waste
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a tidy workspace
  • Follow health and safety policies
  • Report risks, incidents, or hazards
