Communications Integration Engineer – QinetiQ, Portsmouth

Join QinetiQ as a Communications Integration Engineer at our Portsmouth site, where you will work with cutting‑edge technology in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Support the technical delivery of secure end‑to‑end radio solutions in a multi‑bearer, mobile environment from high‑level design through to service transition.
  • Review designs, validate requirements, and produce test documentation.
  • Create and run test plans and schedules, contributing to test strategy decisions.
  • Integrate technology into wider systems in collaboration with other QinetiQ teams, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues using own knowledge or seeking assistance.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation for projects and recipients.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Engineering background with requirements capture, integration planning, and testing.
  • Previous experience in communications within industry or the Armed Forces.
  • Familiarity with operation and integration of equipment in communication systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and self‑motivated.
  • Knowledge of communication systems.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
Job Details
  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Location: Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP), Portsmouth
  • Schedule: On‑site, 5 days per week
  • Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 per annum (subject to experience)
