What we need

a finance analyst confident working with big data sets to support the commercial finance team and aid the wider business to make decisions by creating the solutions that provide the business with intelligence and insight

What you'll do

• create and maintain a weekly + periodic timetable of commercial reporting which meets the needs of the business, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the provision of information
• analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements; included but not limited to:
• look at financial performance (sales + profit vs. target)+ people metrics (labour turnover, management blueprint)
• customer metrics (social review scores, complaints)
• ad hoc analysis to support regional business partners with increasing the profitability and efficiency of restaurants
• review, suggest and create solutions in our analytics platform to show a whole host of data such as financial performance, operational and people metrics so the company has access to and is aware of its kpi performance
• identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, including automation

What you'll need

• educated to degree level
• working towards (or with a desire to) a professional qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• experience of working with large, complex data sets
• experience with Power BI reporting tool preferable but not essential
• pro-active, self starter; passionate about delivering insightful information that drives improvement
• ability to make complex information quick and easy to understand, to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• advanced excel/modelling skills
