Job description

Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Apprentice to join our growing Aggregate and Asphalt Division. As our Commercial Apprentice, you will work within a supported learning environment, developing the skills and knowledge required for a commercial role whilst completing a Level 6 Chartered Management Degree. These skills will include customer service, sales, complaints handling, business administration and analytics, alongside elements of general business management. This is a full-time permanent role, based at our Head Office in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Responsibilities

• Account management of a portfolio of customers that purchase asphalt from FM Conway
• Responding to pricing enquiries for the supply of asphalt for account and non-account customers
• Taking customer orders and ensuring the accuracy of those orders
• Undertake research, data analysis, problem solving and decision-making techniques to improve the customer service provided by FM Conway
• Managing a budget and controlling expenditure for ad-hoc projects

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be ambitious with a strong work ethic and possess good relationship building skills, excellent time management and the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. For this opportunity, you will need to have achieved a minimum grade of B, C, C in your A-Levels or have 112 UCAS points from a National Diploma, Access to HE qualification or Equivalent Level 3 qualifications.
