Mechanical Inspector (PC-DMIS Programmer) - Precision Engineering, Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed mechanical inspections in line with established quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Programme and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS to deliver efficient, accurate inspection results.
  • Carry out general manual inspection using a range of standard measuring equipment.
  • Identify, document and report non-conformances, working closely with production to resolve issues.
  • Prepare, maintain and interpret inspection reports, logs and records.
  • Ensure all inspection and measuring equipment is correctly calibrated, maintained and used safely.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Proven experience in a mechanical inspection role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong PC-DMIS programming experience for CMMs (essential).
  • Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of machining processes and practical 'hands‑on' approach.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
