Salary: Up to £26.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Physiologist to join the team in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

  • The Senior Clinical Neurophysiologist will play a key role in delivering high-quality neurophysiological diagnostic services at The Alexandra Hospital.
  • Work within a specialist team, independently perform and interpret a range of neurophysiological investigations, supporting the diagnosis and management of central and peripheral nervous system disorders.
  • Provide neurophysiology services across outpatient and inpatient settings, including ICU and paediatrics.
  • Support consultant neurophysiologists in diagnostic interpretation and reporting.
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physiologists and bank staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection and clinical governance standards.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in clinical neurophysiology.
  • Proficiency in EEG, NCS, and Evoked Potentials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and safeguarding.
  • Experience in Paediatric neurophysiology.
